But the house was not completely deserted. And when its owner returned home a little later, he entered a blood-drenched battlefield. When Tristan Murrin from Virginia returned home from the USA, he initially noticed no signs of a break-in. But when he opened his front door, a sight caught his eye that makes us humans instinctively shudder.

His carpet was saturated with blood – and the traces of violence led the stairs up to the upper floor, where blood splashes soaked the walls and doors in an ominous red.

Tristan’s shepherd Oden was alone at home, but it was not his blood that adorned the walls. The dog had caught one or more burglars in the act. According to all the blood, the strangers run away.

Tristan searched his valuables and was relieved to find that nothing was missing. The burglars had not managed to implement their plan, Oden had made sure of that.

I couldn’t be prouder of him. Such a great breed, so anyone who doesn’t have a dog should consider adopting one. German Shepherds are a great breed“” said Tristan.

Don’t hurt a soul

That Oden is capable of such violence – even if it was directed against burglars – could frighten some people. But Tristan’s shepherd has never done anything to anyone except to defend his home. The shepherd loves to play with children and the neighbours.

I think the dog did his job. He knew someone was in my house who wasn’t supposed to be there. So he knew he had to do something“Tristan says in a TV interview.
