Dehydrated Koala Flags Down Cyclist Team Asking For Help

Every cyclist has many interesting cycling stories to tell. But Anna Heuseler’s incredible story has spread like wildfire and inspired the world.

The kindhearted cyclist had been cycling towards Adelaide as part of a cycling group when she suddenly noticed a dehydrated koala sitting on the road asking for help.

It was boiling outside (40C), and the thirsty Koala was on the verge of collapse. He couldn’t contain its distress and clambered onto the cyclist group, hoping to get some help.

Anna wrote alongside the video:

“This Koala walked right up to me as I was descending and climbed up onto my bike while I gave him water. BEST THING TO HAPPEN TO ME ON A RIDE EVER.”

People were smitten by the touching video and brought up the struggles that wild animals face due to rising temperatures and the deadly bushfire crisis.

People hailed Anna, ‘What a truly kind person you are… just wonderful watching this video’ another netizen wrote ‘You are a good person in the world.’

She said that although koala sighting is common in the bushland, this encounter was surprising. The group has seen hundreds of koalas over the years, but they have never seen a koala asking for help.

She stopped her bike in order to relocate him off the road until she realized he desperately needed her help. He walked right up to her, and she gave him water from all their water bottles.

Happily, it seemed like this Koala hadn’t been injured in the devastating bushfires, and the team was happy to save the joey and take him back to safety.
This footage urged people to discuss the ongoing situation that has caused many lives.
