Our pets can feel the cold too, that is why it is so important to be well informed on the effects of the cold.

One veterinarian, Dr. Ernie Ward, is on a mission to promote safe living conditions for dogs – particularly in winter.

In the video, you can see how the temperatures continued to plummet every hour, and the vet was getting more visibly traumatized by the experience.

He was shivering uncontrollably and quickly went numb. By the end of the 4 hours, the temperature had gone down to 15F and Dr. Ward couldn’t withstand it any longer.

His experience has made him stand even firmer in his belief that all pets should be brought indoors during wintertime – regardless of breed. No animal deserves to suffer out in the cold.

He was also very adamant that people should always report homeless animals to the authorities in order for them to be rescued and taken to a shelter.

Help spread the awareness to bring pets in from the cold.
